How to recognition text in PDF files with OCR

The free web app "PDF Text Recognition with OCR" analyzes PDF documents and converts them into a text-based PDF document.

Using OCR, letters and words from image documents can be read out on the computer, making texts editable. The free online tool "PDF Text Recognition with OCR" does this directly in the browser.

For text recognition you only need to upload your PDF document via the web app. Then set the language and can further improve the PDF, for example straighten the pages or remove the background. A click on "Start OCR" initiates the text recognition. After a short processing time you can then download the text-based PDF document or have it sent to you by e-mail.

Conclusion: If you want to extract text blocks from a PDF document, you can do this with the free web tool.
